Wu-Chi (Qikong)
Believed
by many to be a direct adaptation of the original Taoist calisthenics and the
origin of Tai Chi, Hsing-I, and Pa Kua.
The primary focus of these classes is Chi Kung. The creation, storing,
movement, and transmission of the body’s natural energy, Chi, for health,
power, and healing is accomplished by breathing, body movements, physical and
mental meditation, mental imaging, and shaking.
Total
relaxation results in Qikong with no resistance from the mind
or the body will flow. re forms used to teach the body to move correctly while at the
same time providing an devastating form of self defense.
There are lessons on health for yourself and healing/life saving of
others. Sparring
and push-hands are done at extremely slow speed so that the students can learn
from feeling the opponent’s power energy how to make their own body movements
and energy flows work correctly.
Wu-Chi class soft and slow motion is more suitable for adult and older.
